Terms of Service

By installing, copying, or using the MathCopy software ("Software"), you ("User") agree to be bound by the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Software.

1. License grant

MathCopy grants User a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Software, limited to the number of devices specified by the valid activation code (license key) User holds. This right is valid only while the activation code remains valid and has not been revoked.

2. Activation and device limits

The Software requires an Internet connection to verify the activation code with MathCopy's servers. Each activation code may only be used on the maximum number of devices allowed under the purchased plan. MathCopy reserves the right to revoke an activation code if it detects fraud, unauthorized sharing, or a violation of these terms.

3. Restrictions on use

User may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Software's source code, except as permitted by law.
• Copy, redistribute, rent out, or resell the Software in any form.
• Use the Software for any unlawful purpose.

4. Intellectual property

The Software, including all source code, design, trademarks, and related documentation, is the exclusive property of MathCopy and is protected under copyright law. These terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to User beyond the right of use granted in Section 1.

5. Data and privacy

The Software processes User's clipboard content (LaTeX formulas) entirely locally on the user's computer to convert it into a Word equation; this content is never sent to MathCopy's servers. MathCopy's servers only receive the information needed to verify the activation code (the activation code and a device identifier).

6. Disclaimer of warranty

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MathCopy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use, or inability to use, the Software.

8. Termination

The right to use the Software terminates automatically if User violates any of the terms above. Upon termination, User must uninstall the Software from all devices.

9. Changes to these terms

MathCopy may update these terms. The latest version is always posted at https://mathcopy.com.

Refund Policy

1. Try before you buy

MathCopy offers a free trial with no payment required upfront — use it to confirm the software works with your machine and Word before purchasing a paid plan.

2. When a refund applies

• A duplicate or incorrect payment (e.g. transferred twice for the same order, or the wrong amount was charged).
• A technical issue that makes the software unusable, and our support team was unable to resolve it after being contacted.
• The refund request is submitted within 3 days of the purchase date.

3. When a refund does not apply

• More than 3 days have passed since the license was purchased.
• A simple change of mind unrelated to a technical issue (the free trial exists precisely so you can test beforehand).
• The license was shared, misused, or used in violation of the Terms of Service above.

4. How to request a refund

Contact us by email at hotromathcopy@gmail.com or via Zalo at 0967 183 919, with your order code and the email used to purchase. We reply within 24-48 business hours, and process valid refunds within 3-5 business days back to the account the payment came from.
