How to use MathCopy
Open Word first, then open MathCopy
Start Microsoft Word, then launch the MathCopy app. Below is what the app's icon looks like once it's running.
Copy a formula from an AI site
Copy a math formula from ChatGPT, Gemini, or any other AI site you're using.
Paste into Word with Ctrl + Alt + V
Place your cursor where the formula should go in Word, then press Ctrl + Alt + V — the formula is rebuilt in the correct format instantly.
Check the result
The pasted formula is a native MathType equation — double-click it to edit it as usual.
Common issues
MathCopy doesn't detect the Word window
Close both apps and reopen them in the right order: Word first, then MathCopy.
The pasted formula is missing or has wrong symbols
Copy the formula again from the AI in full — avoid editing it or copying only part of it before pasting.
The Ctrl + Alt + V shortcut doesn't respond
Check that MathCopy is running in the system tray and that your cursor is inside a Word document.

Always download MathCopy through the "Download for Windows" button. Don't download it from anywhere else.
